On
or before April 15th of each year millions of Americans rush to fill out
and send in their annual income tax forms. The history of taxation
in this country is very long, but originally the US government could not
tax its citizens, and only by a later Constitutional Amendment it was able
to carry out this function. Before 1919 Tax Day was on March 15th
and was not changed to April 15th until 1954 to alleviate the work of the
IRS employees with all of the late forms coming in. |

Okay,
it's Tax Day. Gift giving is not a traditional part of this holiday.
Let's not make it a gift giving day, unless you know an overworked
accountant that you want to make happy.
The
best gift you can give is to yourself - by filing early.
But
when you get back the money from your return, think of it as found money
and get yourself a little gift, such as the ones recommended below.
