Purim is a holiday where Jewish
people celebrate the victory of one woman, Esther, over an evil King Hamen, which
saved the Jews from slaughter. The holiday is celebrated by going to
temple and reciting the story of Esther. This is also like the
Jewish Halloween, where kids dress up in costumes. It is a fun
festive holiday. The traditional dessert is called Hamentashen.
It is a triangular shapted cookie with a fruit filling (this is supposed
to represent Hamen's triangular hat).
