Shavuot is a Jewish holiday that has
a dual celebration. Jews commemorate this day to remember the giving
of the ten commandments from G-d to Moses on Mount Sinai. In addition, the
harvest of the first fruits in Israel are also celebrated on this
holiday. The holiday then become part religious and part festive, a
mixture of prayer and food.
